Still the same dream. No matter where I go I still see it around me, smothering me. I still wake up with the burning in my arms and that laughter in my ears. Will it ever go away? Does Vincent still dream of it as well? Does Zack?
I feel like I will always have them no matter what I do. That I will always dream the same thing and wake up needing to run as far from everyone as I can get. Will it change if I start seeing someone? Will I hurt them thinking they are a part of my dreams? I don't want to hurt anyone that way.
What I want... I'll never get it.

Anyone still awake and willing to spar? Someone who's not afraid of big swords, thanks.

H'lo?
[Action]
I'm here. What's you name?
[Action]
Of course.
The sword in his hand looked cool, though; it looked as if it was a piece of machinery rather than a weapon, little grooves and latches obvious to someone who'd watched their mother build robots from scratch since he was small. He fought the urge to ask the man if he could take it apart and instead squared his shoulders and lifted his chin.]
Who're you?
[Action]
[He'd grown used to people avoiding his eyes even though he didn't like it that much. He knew that the Mako glow was weird to anyone that never seen it before, and even to some that have.
The outfit Trunks wore looked vaguely Wutain even though he never recalled anyone of that country having such odd color hair. He wondered if he was like the warrior-monks Yuffie sometimes muttered about, followed by a quick affirmation of how much cooler ninjas were. He was interested to see what kind of abilities Trunks had besides flying.]
I take it you're into martial arts, right? Are there any rules you want before we begin?
[Action]
[Trunks puffed his chest proudly; he was fighting with a grown-up, one that used a sword! And while he couldn't get a good gauge of what the man's ki level was -it was difficult to focus, like attempting to stare at bee as it zoomed about- Trunks was confident he could at least hold his own. After all, he was Vegeta's son.
He assumed an offensive stance, right fist pulled to his side and the left before himself. Maybe he should go easy on the energy blasts, though, just to be fair...]
[Action]
He shifted on to the balls of his feet, bringing Tsurugi up to his shoulder and gripping the hilt with both hands, his msucles shifting with the weight.]
[Action]
Well, nothing was going to happen if he just stood there. Shifting his weight forward slightly, Trunks allowed himself to fall a fraction before lanching himself towards his opponent, keeping close to the ground and watching that sword for movement.]
[Action]
At least he had a Restore on him in case that happens.
Trunks was quick, Cloud nodded at the tactic and swung Tsurugi down to block Trunks' charge. He twisted his wrist, bringing the flat of the blade out instead of the sharper cutting edge.]
Do many people use weapons where you come from?
[Action]
Indignantly he sits up, tears pricking the corners of his eyes as he cradles his forehead. It isn't till a few moments later that he registers Cloud's question at all, and he answers with a bit of a testy tone, angry at having been bested so easily and so early on (not that he was anywhere near his limit).]
No, everybody fights the right way, with their fists! What the heck, how come you didn't try and cut me instead?!
[Action]
[Cloud watched him, bringing First Tsurugi to his shoulder and shaking his right wrist, making sure the materia-laden armband was ready. Trunks looked fine, though bruised from where he rammed into his sword. But in case he might need more care, he kept the Restore ready.]
If I used the blade, I'll being using a Life on you right now.
[He shifted his weight and squatted down, right arm on his knee and his huge sword still resting comfortably on his shoulder.]
Would you like to learn how to fight an armed opponent?
[Action]
...then again...that guy had been really fast. He'd managed to bring his sword around and secure it before Trunks could even make it to him, and even after Trunks had rammed into it he could still swing it around without pausing to give his hands a second to recover. He was probably really strong, too. The humans back home weren't nearly as strong as the Saiyans, but Trunks had seen a lot of weird things coming to this city. Apparently many of the people here were from different planets, and some of them were supposedly very strong (although Trunks doubted they could best his father). Maybe this guy was from a planet full of strong people? His eyes did glow kind of funny, he might be an alien.
Well...it wouldn't be a problem, right? So long as Vegeta didn't find out that he was getting lessons. Trunks sniffed and rubbed his nose with his wristband, giving the man a vaguely hesitant nod.]
...well...okay. But you can't tell my dad.
[Action]
[He had been open to attack and he knew it, but Cloud didn't like the idea of fighting a child no matter how good he was. He wasn't sure how Vincent even managed to fight the young Tviet during the Deepground attacks. It just seemed wrong to harm someone so small.]
It'll be a secret.
[Action]
But I gotta pay you for it somehow. [Trunks folded his arms and bowed his head in thought, chewing on his lip. Maybe he could offer to teach the guy how to fight without a weapon? Trunks wasn't so sure he would take him up on the offer though, and he'd never taught someone before so he wasn't even sure how to do it. If only his mother was here, he could ask her for money, but...] Ummm...
[Action]
[Cloud didn't know if Trunks could teach him with the differences between the two of them. But the boy had hit Tsurugi hard and yet still was bouncing like he ran into a pillow instead of a blade made specifically for a SOLDIER's enhancements. They could at least show each other various moves, and Cloud could get a few extra pointers from Tifa later.]
A good warrior always needs to learn new things, right?
[Action]
Trunks beamed and stuck out his hand; adults always shook hands to seal deals, so that was probably what they should do, right?]
Yeah, okay! I'll trade with you.
[Action]
Deal.
[That was one crisis averted, although not exactly in the way he had hoped. Cloud wasn't sure if this kind of agreement would be useful, but it would at least give him a better understanding of what to expect when it came to calling out for sparring partners in this place.]
