The new kitten is pretty shy unless I lay still then she likes to sneak up and attack my hair. It's cute, until she makes me move and then she runs away.

I'm not sure if I should be enjoying this place. I mean, I've met some amazing people and made a few friends but, at the same time, I feel like I've betrayed my friends back home. I don't think of them as much because they are there and I can't do anything for them but hope they're doing okay. Here, I can help people out and meet new people. It's... strange.

I wonder if they miss me.

Would they even notice that I am gone? It's not like I spend a lot of time talking to them. Well, at least that's what they tell me.

I don't know any more. I guess... I have to take the days one at a time and not look back.
